Wheatland Housing Management Body would like to inform our community, partners, and stakeholders that our recent application to the Government of Alberta’s Affordable Housing Partnership Program (AHPP)—Third Intake—was not selected for funding.

  • This round of AHPP funding saw overwhelming interest, with 113 applications submitted by 96 organizations from across Alberta. The high demand underscores the urgent and growing need for innovative, collaborative solutions to support vulnerable Albertans through affordable housing. We are awaiting feedback on our proposal to better understand how we might strengthen future submissions.

  • While we are disappointed in the outcome, we remain steadfast in our commitment to addressing housing needs in our community. We appreciate the opportunity to have been considered, and we extend our sincere thanks to the Government of Alberta for their continued support of affordable housing initiatives.

  • We are actively exploring alternative funding options, including future AHPP intakes and potential federal opportunities through the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). We remain hopeful and determined to move our project forward with the support of community partners and funders.

  • We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who supported our application and continue to work with us in advancing affordable housing solutions. We will provide further updates as we continue to pursue funding and development opportunities.

  • For more information or to discuss partnership opportunities, please contact: Glenn Koester – WHMB Board Chair

Thank you for your continued support.
